Welcome to Personal Consultation Services, the independent practice of Patricia Bruno, licensed master social worker, certified educator and school administrator, and author of Waiting for the Echo, a book of poetry. 

It is the mission of PCS to offer opportunities for personal and professional growth to people and organizations.

I am committed to human service and learning and provide consulting, supportive counseling, telephone counseling, and workshops within the framework of a strengths perspective and a wellness model.

My background gives me a special interest in working with people in organizations such as schools, hospitals, government agencies, not for profit human service agencies, and religious and church communities.

• serving as an adjunct lecturer in education at a four year college and a two year college
• teaching high school and middle school English in both public and parochial schools
• serving as a high school English department chairperson
•  counseling at a reemployment center and a hospital inpatient hospice
• designing the first proposal for apartment living for a religious community
• writing state agency policy and designing services for people with traumatic brain injury
• developing services for people with Prader-Willi syndrome and their families 
• serving as a project director for the Senior Companion Program, a federal Senior Corps program sponsored by a state agency

In addition, my experience includes helping college students make academic choices, tutoring international students to speak better English, redefining job choices and writing resumes for dislocated workers.
